Update: Apparently, this is huge news in Hong Kong, China and Taiwan because these people are major stars there. Earlier, the foreign papers reported these as fake, even showing how they could be photoshopped, but after all these new pictures came out, they’ve relented somewhat.
My knowledge of celebrity doesn’t extend too far beyond English speaking countries, so I don’t know much about it. Just that, now, more pictures have come out of these girls and include one more girl, Cecilia Cheung and… CHRIST ALMIGHTY, IS THAT THING ALIVE DOWN THERE? Kill it! Kill it!
Trivia: Edison was in Infernal Affairs which was subsequently remade by Martin Scorsese into The Departed.
Edison Chen stars in the Grudge 2 and possibly The Dark Knight and will be in the upcoming Hayden Christensen movie Jumper. And he’s also in these nude photos with two girls that go by the names Gillian Chung (vaj shot) and Bobo Chan (??). I figure some of you know who they are. I have no idea. I just want to say to the ladies letting their partners take pictures of them in a state of undress, please, for the love of god, wax or at the very least trim. A Hong Kong man has been arrested in connection with the distribution of these photos. It is not clear what role he played, but 12 pictures discovered on his computer support the claim that he distributed them. Rumor is these photos were taken from Edison’s phone when he sent it along with his laptop to be repaired.

The highly anticipated release of three videos and 600+ pictures by the man called “Kira” yesterday did not happen as everyone had hoped. It is possible he was out celebrating the Chinese New Year and now has a raging hangover. Meanwhile, CNN picked up the story.
The unidentified women in the pictures has been identified as Mandy Chen Yu Ju whom Edison met at a 2001 beauty pageant he performed at.

All Edison Chen ads for Manhattan Titanium credit card company have been pulled as a result of the scandal. It is believed this scandal may cause Edison $10 million HK ($1.3 million US) in endorsements.
Gillian Chung will make her first public appearance since this started. She is expected to attend the annual Twin’s event with bandmate Charlene Choi to mark the Chinese New Year. Gillian will have a prepared statement and will not be taking questions regarding the photos from the press.
Cecilia Cheung’s marriage may be on the rocks. More pictures of her were released yesterday suggesting she was with both Edison and her current husband, Nicholas Tse, at the same time.
