   What is the life like in such a multi-lingual family with its members of different nationalities (it is like a mini-UN)? This is what nanny Jinna witnessing as she worked in Jolie's  on the first day.

Unexpected Mischief

On March, 2008. A 32-year-old Vietnamese, Jinna, began to work as a nanny in Jolie and Pitt's. As she entered the living room, she saw two big boards hanging below a crystal chandelier.

On one board, it said:

1, NO BARBIE DOLLS

2,NO PLASTIC SOLDIERS

3,NO COCA-COLA

4,NO FAST FOOD

5,NO CARTOONS

6,CASUAL DRESS

On the other, it listed what the kids need to do on March22. saying:

"Maddox(on duty): MAKE BREAKFAST

                          TRAIN DOFU TO PEE IN THE YARD

Pax:PUT AWAY TOYS IN THE BATH TUB

       STUDY FRENCH FOR ONE HOUR

 Zahara:PUT AWAY THE LIPSTICK AND EYE SHADOW

            GIVE THE TOYS BACK TO SHILOH           

  Shiloh:WEAR SOCKS BY YOURSELF AND IN THE SAME COLOR

            GIVE THE SHAMPOO WITH CHOCOLATE FLAVOR TO NANNY  BRANDY

MARK IT RED IF YOU FINISH IT "

　The next morning, Jinna was awaken by a shiek. Shiloh screamed from fright as her hands and back were stuck on the bed with a quit wrapped around her body. Pitt touched the bed and concluded that someone applied glue on it. They put Shiloh, as well as  the sheet into the bath tub and Shiloh stopped crying until she was free. As Shiloh was the only biological daughter, Jinna thought the couple might storm into the room of the other kids and question them. To her suprise, Jolie and Pitt just walked to their room, yawning, with one embracing Shiloh in arms.

　This aroused Jinna's great curiosity. In 2007,  Jolie going to Vietnam to adopt an orphan has caused a sensation. Some people thought she was just acting and others thought she was obsessed with children. So Jinna wanted to see how Jolie educated kids.

Unique "Alarm clock"

 At 6:30 in the morning, the alarm clock went off suddenly. Jinna got up and saw no one in the living room. Something was knocking at the door, it turned out a big Labrador dog, a smal shepherd dog, a persian cat and a sheep beating the door with their paws. As soon as the door was open, the animals went upstairs and then noises were heard.

    Jinna made breakfast chocolate butter and pitza with another nanny Brandy. The Labrador dog ran into the kitchen,then a Asia-born, handsome boy appeared at the door. Brandy asked,

"Maddox, what are you going to make for breakfast?"

"Tomato pasta."

Then the sheep came, followed by a yellow-skin boy, Pax. Jinna then understood that the alarm clock set at 6:30 was to wake up  the animals, who were the alarm clocks of the kids. Jinna said hello to Pax in Vietnamese, who returned in Vietnamese,too. Jinna was moved to hug him for he didn't forget his native language.

 Shiloh came downstairs, followed by a persian cat. She smiled at Jinna naughtily, as if she had forget being played tricks on last night.

    Maddox was very skillful at mixing tomato butter. He made breakfast for his parents once a week and it has lasted for two years. Then he picked up the interphone, said,"Daddy, wake up, or you'll find eggs in your shoes. and mommy, wake up,or kufu panda (the protagonist of a cartoon with Jolie as the co-producer) has nothing to eat but mustard."

A war at breakfast

   Jolie and Pitt went downstairs with sleeping eyes. Just as kids got used to be waken up by animals, the couple also enjoyed the fun of being waken up by the kids. Spotting a kid was not around, Jolie asked,"Where is our Princess Zahara?" Pax answered,"She would go on a hunger strike as a protest for Shiloh breaking her toys, unless you two grant her the right to play with Shiloh's Treasure Chest for one day!" Jolie picked up the phone," Honey, if you go downstairs now, i promise you'll get a  surprise bigger than the Treasure Chest."

At last, Zahara came down. She is a chubby black girl with bowed legs. When she was adopted, she was on the verge of death from sickness. Jolie took her across the world to find the cure and finally she was recovered.

As the kid sat down, Jolie said,while eating noodles,"Last night, someone applied glue on Shiloh's bed and i want to know who did this. I want the truth and I also need you to promise never do it again."

   Maddox dropped a cookie in front of Pax, shouting"It is him who has the strong adhesive." Pax quickly stood up, retorted"It was not me, Zahara has stolen it." Zahara reacted violently, throwing chololate butter at Pax's face, which angered Pax, who throwed cholocate everywhere as if it was a bomb and shouted"Go to hell" in Vietnamese. As the war escalated, Pax shouted in Vietnamese, Zahara in African, Maddox in Cambodian,and English and French were also heard among them. Feeling a lot of fun, Shiloh shrieked excitedly, grabbed some food and applied it all over herself. Food was thrown everywhere, but the couple enjoyed their breakfast leisurely as if nothing had happened. After finishing his breakfast, Pitt said,"I am 'on duty' tonight, and who did it should confess, or none of you are allowed to watch cartoon in a week", The couple left the room, leaving the children at war.  

The truth came out

As soon as Jolie and Pitt retreated, the kids became quiet. They let Brandy change their clothes and went to school. Maddox went to soccer school; Zaraha learned ballet; Pax and Shiloh learned music and painting.

As Jinna cleaned the mess, she couldn't help but feel disappointed. While Brandy explained,"Kids know where they are from, they thank their parents and want to prove that they are the best in front of Jolie and Pitt. As long as the couple is around, the kids want to assert themselves.Chocolate and pitza are their favorite food, it also because they dont hurt when used to throw at each other. The time Jolie and Pitt spent with kid is less than an hour, but they will do their best to meet their needs. Breakfast is always the same. but snacks will be served to supply nutrition"

　　Jinna asked,"Why doesn't she demand everyone to speak English, i think she will not know if kids speak dirty words." Brandy answered,"Because she hopes the kid will not forget where they come from. She found tutors to teach the kid their native languages, bought two houses in Vietnam and Cambodia for her two sons. Every year she takes them to live there for a couple of days, telling them to come back as they grow up to help more people there since they are one of them." Then it came to Jinna that, in this seemingly choatic family, there are humanitarian rules. At that time, the bell rang, and the department store delivered goods as the couple ordered all kinds of toys, clothes and food for the kid in their spare time, one of the package said "Treasure Chest."

　In the afternoon, the kid went home one after another and did things written on the boards. When Jolie came home, she opened the presents with the kids. When Zahara got the Treasure Box, she screamed with excitement, and gave Jolie a kiss,

"Mom, i applied the glue."

"why?"Jolie asked patiently.

"Because Shiloh always falls asleep with the quilt falling off, i think if i applied some glue, the quilt will stick to her and she won't catch cold."

Maddox, standing by, cut in,"Why don't you admit it this morning?"

"Shiloh broke my toys and Pax said I wanted to revenge, so i am afraid if i told the truth, no on would believe me."

Jolie kissed gently on her face, and said,"Honey, i trust you all!"

In the evening, Pitt came back. By "on duty", he meant that making dinner for the kids by himself. By dinner, he meant French fries and fried chicken and they enjoyed their dinner. Jinna asked Brandy,"Why not revoke all the rules, for my part ,only the last one is obeyed." Brandy answered,"Don't obey all the rules doesn't mean the rules are of no use. Sometimes ease the rules a little is more effective than enforce them violently."

   Such a happy family is rarely seen in the world with parents being superstars and kids being supercool sweethearts. In this familly, besides money and glory, there are also love, happiness, kindness and freedom.

  For you, kids, this spring is doomed to stiff, just because it is a spring before the entrance examination for college. Now, you are in deep suspense, insomnia, headache, unable to focus attention and idol presents frequently. Therefore, you are self-contempt, pessimism, and even despair. Life is impartial 

 Kids, what everyone can see is the superficies of life. What we can’t see is the inner-heart of other’s.

 You complaint the life is partial and you said everyone looks well except you, you are bearing the torment which comes from the bottom of the heart. Kid, don’t think it like this. Life treats everyone impartially ,what I mean is facing the limited time before college entrance examination, no one will live without stress, tensity and bad mood, however, all this may not be tell just from their calm superficies .

  Like right now, if you don’t come to ask me for help , I won’t know you are in a bad mood just judge from your appearance.   

 It was just yesterday that one student came to me who faced the same problem.   If I don’t tell you, you will never know he is also suffering the same pain. Then, you said all your classmates look calm except you ,actually it just on the contrary，what the difference is that you speak it out.

 Seems everyone is the same, why do you still worry? Face it with a usual mind and look forward, you will carry them out through this difficult time                           

Make friends with the bad mood.

 Kids, remember, if there is an invisible evil come to your heart and disturb you, and make you feel in suspense, fidget , you should learn to make friends with him.

 Don’t try to make a contest and fall out with him, otherwise, you will be the only one who gets hurt. Face him friendly, make handshakes, smile, and open your mind to him.

 Overall, get along well with him. In fact, the one who really came to your heart is not the evil but your friend from the bottom of your heart. It is just coincidences that happen during one period of your life.

 It may make troubles everyday which add more pains into your heart. However, if you care it too much, it will in turn break out more. Thus, don’t try to defeat it, just pay no attention to it, and you will found that when you do so, you have already won yourself.

Everything will pass

         Kids, the process of one’s growing up will always experience rains and winds. Those experiences are one part of growing and maturing.   In this sense, what you are experience now is what you need in the future of your life. 

I have a student who lived in a poor family, while he studied in school, he finished his college studies under people’s help. Unfortunately, after he got married, his child caught a terrible disease. With his child, he and his wife run all over china to find doctors, but it is in vain. Few years later, they use up all the money and their debts were increasing. When I went to visit him, he smiled and said: don’t worry, I am the one who had already experienced the hardship, I won’t afraid anything! Having the tears covered my face, I hold on his face at that moment.

   It is true that the one who step out from the hardship won’t afraid anything. Difficulty can’t defeat him, pains can’t tear him down. This kind of people will live more firmly and strongly. Difficulty for him is not only a torture but also a temper, a torment, and also a new start. 

 Children, you should declare to the life loudly: just let those pains come as much as they like! You should learn to meet the difficulties and go forward through the raging fire, and then steel yourself and become a all-conquering person.

  Everything will pass. That’s right, however hard and difficult it is, it will pass ultimately.

  Only go thought the difficulty that will you live a real life, and become a man of indomitable spirit.

I'am 42-year-old now.When I think of my gratuating from college in 21,I find that it's not pleasant,since I was struggling between my own pursuit and my relatives' expectations.

I trusted one thing:All I want to do is writing.But my parents came from poor families,they want me to learn some practical skills in stead of British literature.Eventually,we made a bilateral-unsatisfied compromise:I major in foreign language.However,as soon as my parents left,I signed up Classical Literature.

I've forgotten how did I tell them about this.Maybe it was on the commencement that they found it.On this planet,they could hardly find a more useless course than Greek Literature.

I want to make it clear that I didn't complain about their opinions.They want me to shake off poverty,which can cause horror,pressure and even dispression.All of these indicates narrow-hearted,inferiority and many other hardships.It is really a pride to shake off poverty by yourself.Only the fool spread themselves.

Only 7 years later after my graduation,I suffered from a big failure.I ended up with a short marriage and my job.I was a single mother,what's more,Britain was a modernised country.You can imagine how poor I was to any extent as you like.The worries my parents and I concerned all became true.This was my greatest failure for any aspects.

I'm not standing here to tell you that "failure" is enjoyable.Then why I still talk about the benefits from failure?Because from failure I found myself.I started to put all my energies on what I concerned about.If I was successful on other fields,I might have not set up my mind on what I interested in.Calmness followed as I've been through the biggest horror.Furthermore,I still alive and I have a daughter who deserves my prides.A old printer and a pretty good writing inspiration also accompany me.I started to build my new life on the stone-base that made of failures.(Editor:Later,J.K Rowling wrote world-fashionable series Harry Potter.)

The first and second years are seedtime.During this period,you can relax yourself out of intension in senior high school.What's more,you have to learn extensively to improve your comprehensive quality.Starting your preperations for employment from the third year.Several preperations hereinafter your have to make:First,you should make clear that what kind of employment you want to obtain;Second,you should improve your common skills,such as English and computer;Third,you should accumulate internship experience.A month managing classrooms in New Oriental is also a kind of internship experience.At least you've known what's called job.What more,if you did it well,I'll give you a recommendation,which must do good to your future obtaining employment.

General speaking,sincerity is insufficient in China's society.The sincerity-bond relies on people's trusts after they've known each other.Therefore,recommendation is an useful tool for students to obtain employment.Recommendation knocks on the door of future employment. During the third and last years' summer and winter vocations,you have to do some internships and prepare yourself well to contact with society.

Lower yourself;Higher your future

I divide work into three steps:employment,job,career.

What's employment?It means that you find a job,get waged and be independent economically.Getting economical supports from your parents to finish your education before 22 could be thought as their responsibilities,however,no matter you continue to your graduate education or obtain employment,receiving even a single coin from your parents is contemptible.

I always asking the students what they kind of job they want to do?The answers are always of great expectations and they ask for more concerning the wages.While enterprises are not willing to accept a no-experience student to do this kind of job.Some students get 20,000RMB per month while some get 2,000RMB per month.The latter is not sure to be inferior one,since the following hard work and attitude decide your future wage.

Sometimes I'll test on them.For example,I'll tell them there is no job you want,however,some lavatory-cleaning positions haven't been ocupied,do you want it?Common students won't accept it,however,if anyone will accept it,they must have a bright future.A self-lower one is likely to higher his future.Attitude is result.

The difference lies between job and employment is:Employment is a temporary work that make you live;it doesn't necessarily matter your future,however,job is what you may undertake through your whole life.

Job can turn into career;career is the expansion and extension of job.Even though you've failed in career,you can still back to your job.

College students have no experience.Not many can start career with no failure ends.Approximately 5% of them can survive and 1% of them can be successful.

Sharing brings resources

Sharing in of great importance to college students.Most of children are single child in their families and they lack of abilities to share equally with others  emotionally and materially.Sharing equally and exchanging ideas can bring you benefits through your whole life.If you have 6 apples,you have two choices:One is that you eat them up and go back to dormitory.It seems that you get them all,but actually you've lost the chance to exchange the countless resources;the other choice is that your share these 5 apples with your roommates,you can get their recognition and favor,which eventually will bring your countless resources.It outweights 5 apples endlessly.

Thinking about it further,you'll find that you lose nothing at all.In case someone eats your apples,when he has 6 oranges he must give you one.This is the exchange-principle in society.Sharing with students in colleges;sharing with collegues in companies;sharing success with partners.Then,you'll be the most popular one.

The qualities that your boss emphasizes

One's job consists of two elements:speciality quality and comprehensive quality.In comprehensive quality aspect,there are 5 kinds in my mind:First,pure-heartedness and sincerity.You should look and act sincerily;Second,sureness.Important task will not give you if you are flippancy;Third,communication.Many people are talents but they make office mess.The reason is that they lack of communication ability and think little of others;Fourth,innovation.You should come up with new ideas and let me realize your value.Then you'll get promoted;Last,selflessness.Everyone is selfish to different extent.The point is you should let it be acceptable.

No one marries Uncle Bush

May 7th,2007, south lawn of White House, Bush looked like flashing his eyes at the Queen.。

    If we wanna describe Bush's style in just one word,"qie(Chinese, timid,cowardly,nervous)" may be the most appropriate one.

    In Chinese,，"qie" means “ tacky, unseasonable, except for timid.

    Grew up in Texas, Bush is always considered by elite medias as a rube with a western accent.     Unfortunately, people compare a candidate only with another candidate.The standard for Bush can never be the same thing for a big uncle in Texas.

    In October 7th, 2001, the Coalition Forces of the U.S.A and Britain attacked Afghanistan, the Taliban regime which has lots of communications with Al Qaida, was destroyed.

    In March 20th, 2003, the Coalition Forces attacked Iraq, and by May Bagdad was seized. The war was unexpected fast.

    When someone queried that Saddam might not have mass destruction weapons, why still fight? Bush said something wrong:"He wants to kill my dad."

    Many elites were quite worried about Bush's favor for military, they feared that America would violate civil rights in the name of anti-terrorism, and finally became an authoritarian country.Besides, the costs of war made American burdened.

    From the beginning Bush luckily received a rich treasury from his predecessor Clinton, now he left with an once-in-century economic crisis to the next president.

As "after 80s generation",when we begin to be sensible,we see the world is full of new and fresh,an eyes of goodies,more to find than can ever be found.We weather through our disconsolate childhood in company of Japan cartoon and HongKong teleplay.The westen pop music like the rigid vehicle acompany us to go to school and after school.The KFC and Mcdonald's become our best reward.At that moment,all goods are imported,which stand for a kind of quality assurance,and the sworn determination of drawing a clear line with elder generation's outdated and antiquated life.

"after 80s generation" have strong personality,and many of them appear to disdain to the 70s generation who live in a colony life-style.However,what's the personality about?The after 80s generation listen the Music Vidoes of Rock&Roll,read the novels by CunshangChunshu(CC) and Duras,and then grow up day by day.They pay attention to absorb the fresh things in read,music,movie,and other aspect.The initial literature creating of "after 80s generation" are flooded by a variety of foreign brands,bands,and director's names.

They also find a kind of emotion——beat,lonely,dispirited and bored emotion.This emotion become our excuse of making no effort to seek progress,rather than the spiritual strength.Do we find the personality from it?Yes,the percipient substitude the creative in our whole Youthhood,so that make a prosperous pink elephants.

The after 80s generation often follow like sheep,and they are easily to fall into the fanatic and excited condition.When "after 80s generation" stem the torrent of Carrefour to express critical of France,many of my MSN friends add one heart and "China" in front of their name one after another.The rising emotion is horrible.Actually,this kind of patriotic feelings can't bear to weith at all.

I'm always afraid that whether we will feel ashamed by the memory of youth when we recall the past.All of the passion are short of foundation and spirit strength,just like a famous-brand review picture album which exhibits fashion and custom year by year.I have two friends born in the 70s,they are classmates in their university,and they are still best friends today.Although they seem to so different each other,and their character,hobbies and living condition are also not the same.It's ideality that connect them.They want to contribute to several Project Hope primary school,and they aslo plan to contribute to establish a library by combining their collections of books.So they strive to earn money,and are at pains to collect all kinds of books.Maybe "after 80s generation" can't understand their friendship,and think that ideality are far from them.No wonder,one of my 70s friends has doubted our friendship of my generation,it seems that we are so superficial,and we are together just for companion,beer and skittles.I was so guilty to retort.The fact is that we are just like it.

When I grow up,my greatest wish is to discharge the stress of much more responsibility.I don't know how much I can afford.

Maybe our freedom have been overhead,and have not the root system to attach the earth.Are we right,or wrong?

Then why there is someone that should say it? As a matter of fact, this sentense is a bait which can attract other topics like the mood, the willingness to go out etc. Then there comes the reply.     

   "Yeah. It's quite lovely."

   "Wanna go out?"

   "Abosolutely!"

    "I've been thinking to go out for a excursion. "

   "Then why not put it into action?"

    "Money issue."

    "You don't receive your salary this month?"

    "Received. And I spent them all."

    "So soon? What did you buy?"

    How much this nonsense extracts! Nonsense is ambiguous but it's indispensable! With it, not only can people communicate, but also they can improve relationships with each other, get the measure of others' interest and character and realize whether you are supported or not.

   In psychological consultation, many introversive people say that the reason why they get psychological disease is that they talk too little nonsense which leads to less friends. Based on their view, losing face is unforgetable. So they are afraid of being rude in wrong words and try to say as less as possible. Let alone nonsense. In reality, it is nonsense that bring people together and initiate the topics when people are communicating. 

    Language, since it was created by human beings, has been the most important tool for communication. However, sometimes language is aimless, which is more amiable and trustful. So, in our daily life, people who talk more nonsense are more amiable and adorable because they create an atmosphere of delight and forge an image of happiness. In a word, if you want to be a happy person, talks nonsense!

All the bosses grow up from a staff . It warns you that never to fight against your boss , and you will never beat your boss.  　　

Everything you do is what your boss has done , every trick you play with your boss is what your boss has played enough with his boss before . In front of the boss , an employee is just like an inferior swordman before a famous swordman . Your boss will know your tricks in advance before you go .

Although the bosses is very clear about your tricks , most of them will never mind it .  Will a famous swordman care for a fledgling guy? No , it is too worthless! But he will look it in eyes ,take it in mind . As soon as he is in the mood to account with you , it will turn out what you never expected!

Some employees are too young and inexperienced . They even konw nothing about the company's management . They always think it is too unfair for him to pay out so much but get so little income , while his boss is in the opposite way . Once you have worked hard for a whole day , when you find your boss is not in his office , you would like to relax yourself for a while , then you open the game and begin to play . In that case , before you whip round , accordingly your boss will mystically appearred behind you . Perhaps you will think you are too unlucky , actually it is not like that .

Even from a professional point , the work you do is one part of your company . About your workload , the difficulty of your work and when it can be finished , the boss has a flow chart in mind , but most bosses will not be very strict with the finished time . No other reasons , the boss hope you can give him a surprise . If you only make him surprised but no good news , well , the following things will not be very good for you .

For Chinese students, they play four years and read books when bored

For American students, it is unnecessary for them to get into university if they just read what they are interested in.

In China, the college entrance examination can determine one’s whole life. Students worry along high school and get into university. They finally can get rid of fastening on textbooks and reference books, and they have chance to relax. That’s why university gets the name “a club for playing”.

After getting into university, many students have more time and opportunities to go to library for reading books they didn’t read in the high school. Of course they have textbooks in university, but it is reasonable to read what they are interested in.

At least I thought that way, but the truth proves me wrong.

In 2001, someone did a reading study among young people above the age of 20 in Taibei, Taizhong and Gaoxiong.

In that survey, there was a question about college students’ purpose for reading. It turned out that college students don’t attach much importance to the ability training of independent thinking. The rate that the reason they read is because they are bored or want to kill time is higher than other professionals.

An American friend read the survey and sent me an e-mail. He asked me a question in a curious mood，“why does personal interest account for so high proportion? Chinese college students do some reading in order to kill time? ”

“Is there anything wrong? ” I asked him back.

“In America, students cannot finish the books assigned by professors, not mention to reading what we are interested in to idle time. It is incredible! ”he replied.

     At that time, I began to muse the comparison between Chinese and American college students’ reading key order and the impact it may bring about.

Chinese high school has 6 years. The students are filled with the whole six-year textbooks and reference books for exams.

Compared with Chinese students, American high school students are in relaxing state for six years. And once they determine to get into university, they have to receive common education in the first or two years. The subsequent major courses require you read books related to your major. There is a concept in their mind: If you just read best-sellers without reading what you are majoring in the library, you don’t have to work so hard to get into university.

For Chinese students, they can choose books freely, but only read leisure books

For American students, they specialize in some books, and they are selected by books.

An American writer whose name is Feidimen describes American young generation’s outlook on reading vividly. In his book called a young writer’s reading experience, it says,“ books will come to pick you but not you to choose books after you are 17 years old (some people may delay one or two years), because you have to read under some restriction. Reading has become a kind of plan, a part of college courses or a tool of getting knowledge.”

However，Chinese young generation’s reading habits have too much irony. I don’t know whether it is fortunate or unfortunate that college students seldom suffer reading pressure from university. What’s worse, they choose their major by the score of the college entrance examination, but not their interest. So they are doomed to be in lack of positive attitude towards their study at the moment that they get into university.

In the 20th century, a multitude of subjects are born, differentiated and specialized. Every university is worried about specification and narrowing of knowledge. Therefore, American university education releases a fresh rule: universities have to strengthen common education for students. To tell you the truth, the situation that faces Chinese college students is more serious than American students does. China continues the separation between Chinese education and western education, the separation between science and art. Even if many young people can get into university, they have many possibilities to become victims-as art and science colleges have fundamentally different reading emphasis. Even between art colleges, there is no fundamental reading connection between the college of literature and the college of foreign studies.

I have talked to many Chinese students. I found out that their teachers do not notice these problems or they don’t care much about that. As a matter of fact, there are quite a few teachers list a good amount of books during the class. However, there are few students borrowing these books and finishing them.

If you still select books depending on your interest and under no pressure, you already lag far behind the American university students. At least, that they are in the same grade are being filled with useful books.
