It is common practice for a company to have a vision and a mission statement for their business. Doing this inspires the organization to work together towards a noble cause. This aspiration gives the corporation a sense of purpose and consequently, develop a philosphy that will guide them towards success.

A few years from now, I would like my political blog to become the best online resource for citizen vigilance and public activism in my country. To do this, I should often discuss what newspapers are talking about everyday and give my honest commentaries on these stories. Furthermore, I will frequently write about socially relevant issues and initiate online campaigns for the causes I believe in.
Write your vision and your mission statements on a piece of paper and display it near your computer so that you will constantly be reminded of your purpose why you are blogging today. Furthermore, let this be your guide whenever you are choosing your content for your blog. Ask yourself if the article that you are about to write will bring you closer to your goals. When you commit to your mission statements, it won’t be long when your blog starts to grow in character and you begin attracting more targeted visitors that can share your vision.
