Sanyo announced the new Xacti DMX-CA8, a waterproof digital movie camera. The Xacti DMX-CA8 features a 8 Megapixel 1/2.5-inch CMOS image sensor, a 5x optical zoom lens, 12x digital zoom, ISO sensitivity up to 1600 and a 2.5-inch LCD display.
The new CA8 supports Face Chaser, which is available for both video shooting and image shooting. Digital Image Stabilizer is also included. The CA8 is JIS IPX5/IPX8 qualified for water resistance. It support MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 high compression.
