Robert Downey Jr. told UK magazine Empire that Burger King was what finally gave him the strength to kick his drug habit and get his career back.
Robert said that in 2003 he was driving a car full of "ton of f---ing dope." He was hungry pulled over to pick up some fast food to eat.
"I have to thank Burger King," Robert said. "It was such a disgusting burger I ordered. I had that, and this big soda, and I thought something really bad was going to happen."
The now-sober actor felt so terrible after eating the BK junk, he thought he was overdosing. Afterward he threw all of his drugs into the ocean and decided to get help for his drug problems.
Robert's character in Iron Man, Tony Stark, requests a cheeseburger from Burger King when he is finally released from being held captive -- and Robert hinted that this was a reference to his last high experience at the fast food chain.
Maybe we should get Amy Winehouse to BK for an extra large value meal. I say it if straightened out RDJ, it could help just about anyone.
