Tonight, I will be taking two mothers out for dinner. My mom and Sarah (Sally’s mom) will be joining me and my dad for a nice family get together at the Boat House in Richmond.
As much I enjoy Dot Com Pho meet ups, family get togethers offer special meaning. Family is the foundation of growth. I think most of the problems we face in today’s society is caused by the break up of the family unit.
Generally speaking, Mother’s Day is always a bigger deal than Father’s Day because it was our mother who raised us. At least that’s how it was when I was growing up. With the way the world is working now, I wonder how long it’ll be before we have a Happy Daycare Day?
To all the moms out there. This is your day. Enjoy it and take every opportunity possible to remind your kids how much of a pain they were/are. It’ll be your only day to do so.
