As well as the Sony ad, Fallon also release a new Budweiser ad yesterday as well. If you want a view on whether this is better or worse than Foam City, read the comments over on Scamp’s blog, with the warning that they tend to deteriorate as more and more anon commenters get involved!
This ad is just one of a few that have been recorded, in addition there’s videos like this one which introduces the characters.

The campaign, called Budweiser True Dedication, brings together 6 eclectic musicians, “doing what they love. Inspired by the dedication that goes into brewing Budweiser, the brand’s new advertising campaign captures the passion musicians have for their craft and the social atmosphere that comes from friends getting together. ”
The person introducing the band is a guy called Dave Cloud (who released an album this month). The musicians are all local to the area, as can be seen on the Bud UK site, which the campaign has taken over.
I like the ad and the background stuff; there’s an implication there that they may be doing some live stuff. The site has more videos - I love the Push It jam. It does bring to life the soul of what the brand tries to be - something for friends.
