imageimage The Motorola (NYSE: MOT) pipeline hasn't been exactly flowing lately, but today, the U.S. handset maker announced with its partner Kodak the launch of a new camera phone–the Motozine ZN5. The phone—which was debuted in Beijing, China--includes Kodak's new Imaging Technology software that lets consumers take higher quality photos. It also includes a retoucher, and the ability to share the photos either through Kodak's Gallery photo sharing site, or uploaded to other social sites using mobile service ShoZu, which is pre-loaded on the handset. The phone launches in China in July and will roll out to the rest of the world throughout the remainder of the year (release).

Meanwhile, Kodak, another company that's struggled to reinvent itself, is hoping the mobile market will help revitalize its business. The company, best known as a supplier of camera film and paper, actually invented the digital camera, but has seen itself increasingly sidelined as other companies entered the digital photography market. Aside from the Moto launch, Kodak today said its KODAK Imaging Technology would be available to other handset manufacturers and service providers who wanted to license it (release).
