日常生活中，“泡沫”有很多意思，那么我们应该怎样正确翻译它呢？ “泡沫”的第一个意思是“聚在一起的许多小泡”。英语可以翻译为“bubble/foam”。

例如： “The child likes to blow bubbles into water through a straw.”（这个喜欢用麦秆吸管往水里吹泡泡。）

“The glass of beer has a good head of foam.”（这杯啤酒上有厚厚的一层泡沫。）

“The extinguisher is filled with chemical foam.”（这个灭火器里充满了化学泡沫。）

“泡沫”的第二个意思是比喻某一事物表面上的繁荣，而实际上虚假不实的成分。英语翻译为“bubble”，

例如： “As a stock market bubble is taking shape, the investors should take precautions against the risks.”（股市泡沫正在形成，投资者应该防范风险。）

“In March of 2003, the Internet bubble suddenly burst. ”（2003年3月，互联网泡沫爆裂。）

“经济泡沫”可以翻译为“economic bubble”，而“泡沫经济”翻译为“bubble/foamy economy”。

例如“ “A real estate bubble is a type of economic bubble that occurs periodically in local or global real estate markets.”（房地产泡沫是本地或全球房地产市场周期性发生的一种经济泡沫。） “Bubble economy usually starts with false prosperity and ends in a breakout of crises. ”（泡沫经济通常以虚假繁荣开始，以危机爆发告终。）
