At this point it is safe to say that there is nothing that could possibly get us more excited for the July 18th release of The Dark Knight, the long-awaited sequel to Christopher Nolan’s Batman Begins. From the incredible viral marketing campaign to a trailer that was recently named the year’s best at The Golden Trailer Awards, everything about this film’s build-up has been dark, intense and unbearably excited.
And to think that we still have a few months to go before it hits theaters. It boggles the mind. Alas, despite all of the exceptional marketing that has already been done for the film, the folks at Warner Brothers continue to churn out more awesome fodder that will continue to bring us closer and closer to a collective anxiety attack. Today’s update comes to us from the Spanish site Omelete, which has gotten its manos on two wicked new banners. One (pictured above) features the late Heath Ledger looking gruesome as The Joker and the other (which can be seen by clicking the banner above) features Christian Bale as Batman, racing away on his Batpod. The banners are both of the International variety, so I would not expect to see them in the states. Either way, they are still fantastic.
