To commemorate ten years of being called the Tennessee Titans, the organization has designed a patch that the team will wear on its uniforms this season. You can see it

They are planning to use the 2008 season to celebrate a decade of being called the Titans. They've actually been in Tennessee since 1997, but they would like to forget the
grim first couple of years there. Check out this time capsule article entitled "
Titans would seem a colossal misnomer" that was written in the November 1998 Houston Chronicle to get a sense of how the name change was thought of in Texas.
I've made the argument in the past that the
Tennessee Titan name is the worst in the modern era. The
slightly NSFW video supporting that position is above. But I suppose you have to appreciate the Titans efforts to put lipstick on that pig.
