Microsoft Sponsors GeeksLoveBowling at SXSW [Microsoft Weblog]

Had a great time last night with everyone else at GeeksLoveBowling.com as part of SXSW. We originally didn’t have enough spaces on the team to play everyone from b5 so we had a good cheering crew.

office-mac-mm-tin-sxsw Microsoft was one of the key sponsors of the event so we thank you tremendously for that! It’s just my opinion though that actual people from Microsoft could be more visible at events like this. All I saw and heard was a little tin of M&M’s with Mac Office icons on each one, a few Expression Studio posters plastered here and there, and the bowling center announcer kept mentioning that Internet Explorer 7 was sponsoring the event.

If I were Microsoft I’d be having people from Microsoft walking around and talking to each team.

The tournament format was best game score of two so we had two chances to win. We used the first game as a warm-up and rotated in some fresh arms and faces with the second round. Thanks to Shea from MTV Reality World, Christina at eBeautyDaily, Mark, b5’s WordPress Code Ninja along with Brian, the b5 Code Monkey, we were able to overcome our competition for the event, Electric Pulp.
