(FranchisePick.com The franchise blog) I love my visits to the b5 business organization and efficiency website My Organized Biz. It’s fascinating to see how the other half live. Hanging out with entrepreneurs most of the week, time spent on Becky Scott’s blog is like a visit to a foreign country. It’s a great way to take your mind off what a disaster your office is. I always feel refreshed afterward, and ready to sweep the Doritos and cold pizza slices off the keyboard and get back to work.
As part of The Great b5Media Blog Off, Becky is revealing her innermost organizational secrets as well as disclosing the tawdry details of her ongoing love affair with office supplies. I’m not sure that this intimate a relationship with office supplies is legal, much less healthy, but it sure makes for good reading. Plus, it’s a great excuse for you procrastinators to make a trip to Staples or OfficeMax, then stop off at Starbucks and Barnes & Noble while you’re in the neighborhood.
Becky’s essential office organizational must-haves?
My first favorite office supply has to be my MacBook Pro.
Her second: her heavy oak desk.

Camelbak water bottle. Wide cinema display monitor. iPod. Ultra slim Apple Keyboard. Cordless phone with extra handsets.
She’s on her way to 24 favorite office supplies, but I had to quit. I’m on a PC, am working at a faux-beech desk, no iPod (I bought the cheapo MP3 player that I can’t get to work), have a wired phone with 2″ cordered headset, and I don’t have a clue what Wacom Tablets or a Camelbak water bottles are. (I think I may have been slipped a Wacom tablet at a college party once).
So now I feel better. I’m not disorganized, I just lack the proper equipment. Time to head for Staples. Starbucks. And Barnes & Noble, while I’m there.
