More often than not, we travel alone in our cars but our cars which have space for four to five, obviously occupy a lot more space thus adding to the congestion in the over crowded city roads. To get around this problem, German designer Ramin Ansari has come out with a gawky, spacecar-like concept called the TwoTwo. This car will actually expand and compress at the touch of a button. In compressed mode, it will seat two and in expanded form it has the capacity to accommodate four adults. All this is done with the telescoping tubes which move fore and aft to let the TwoTwo contract and expand.
You will be taken aback to hear that the TwoTwo packs in all of 7000 lithium ion batteries that drive the hub electric motors in each of its wheels. These batteries, which reside between the rear wheels and the floor pan of the car produce a humongous 100KW of power which will very easily propel this electric car to speeds in excess of 150Mph. Each of the four wheels manages to pack in the steering, suspension and the braking system. This design makes sure that the interiors of the car have enough space for it’s occupants to revel in. All these factors come together to make the the TwoTwo one concept that we need to watch out for.
