Shashin: Japanese Canadian Studio Photography to 1942 [The Vancouver Traveler]

Japanese Canadian Studio Photography to 1942This exhibit looks back through a period of almost 50 years of history through the eyes of Japanese Canadian Photographers who operated studios in Cumberland, New Westminster and Vancouver. There are over eighty black and white photographs on display revealing a variety of subjects from diverse communities at the time, both the elite and labourers.

An exhibition catalogue accompanies the show and is for sale in the Gallery shop.
