A&E Network is going forward on Patrick Swayze’s new drama The Beast, after being given the green light from doctors.
Swayze was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in March.
The Beast centers on Swayze as an unorthodox but effective FBI veteran who trains a new partner (Travis Fimmel) in his hard-edged and psychologically clever style of agenting while being pursued by a secret Internal Affairs team.
A premiere is tentatively set for early 2009.
