I just came across this article on Squidoo about making money through affiliate marketing. It has some interesting ideas and pointers. And, I’d like to summarise what the author recommended:
1) Choose a niche you wish to make money from/specialise in.
2) Create a Clickbank account.
3) Run a Squidoo account. (Surprise, surprise?)
Defining your niche is definitely the single most important thing that you need to do, when creating an income stream - either online or via a brick and mortar shop. And, I always believe that the best niche to get in to is one that you feel passionate about. It’ll just make life so much easier (and bearable!), especially when challenges in your online business arise.
While Clickbank can definitely be a lucrative affiliate income source, it may not be for everyone. So, if you find that Clickbank isn’t for you, make sure you investigate other affiliate program options. For example, I found more affiliate success in something like MyHelpHub.
And, on maintaining a Squidoo account… Well, I’ve already written about how you can make money from Squidoo some time back. I really like the platform there to start with, as creating pages can be so easy and quick. And yes, Squidoo can definitely work as an affiliate marketer’s friend in more ways than one.
What about you? Do you use affiliate marketing in your online business? Do you have any questions about them? Or, perhaps, you have some tips on affiliate marketing?
