[We get a lot of press releases. Every now and then we will select our favorites and present them to you with commentary in a new feature we're calling Press Relief.] Our first dispatch comes to us via Lonnie H., on behalf of
Rick's Cabaret & Steakhouse NYC, whose exotic dancers voted on their 5 Favorite Songs To Strip To. The results may surprise you:
5. "Umbrella" by Rihanna 4. "Cupid's Chokehold" by Gym Class Heroes 3. "The Theme Song to the Family Guy Cartoon TV Show" 2. "Sensual Seduction" by Snoop Dogg 1. "Nude" by Radiohead
I know you guys are strippers, but the Family Guy theme song? And Radiohead!?!?! What the hell kind of strip club is this? I'm not really sure how I'd feel about being wasted out of my mind on whiskey, crying my eyes out about my sad lonely life as some chick waggles her boobs in my face while
Thom Yorke wails a downtempo ballad of despair that segues right into
Peter Griffin's grating nasal performance of terrible sitcom showtunes. But that's just me. After the jump, the press release goes on to clear up such confusion. Also, leave us your 5 favorite songs to strip to in the comments (I'll go first)!
When queried as to the # 3 choice, "The Theme Song to the Family Guy Cartoon TV Show," a beautiful blonde named Courtney (36DD, 25, 33) remarked, "The men in the audience always go crazy when they hear that song! The tips just start flying. It reminds us all to have a good time and not to take family values to the extreme."
How nice of Courtney to clear up any questions about their selections (or her body proportions) for us! I get the "Family Guy" thing now - as soon as the realization sets in that you're sitting in a dark room filled with horny drunk dudes and half-naked drug addicts begging for dollar bills with their breasts, a few stanzas of theme music from the 2nd best animated comedy show on Fox is just thing to the lighten the mood! But what about the Radiohead song? Are the strippers just super-literal about stuff and willing to look past the sad, somewhat unsexy mood of the music in favor of the fact that the song is called "Nude". A little on-the-nose if you ask me.
