Fresh speculation has Microsoft developing their own mobile phone, powered by NVIDIA’s system-on-chip mobile platform. The Microsoft handsets will presumably run on the company’s Windows Mobile operating system, and could launch with high-end multimedia features under the hood - thanks to NVIDIA’s Tegra chipset.
Now we’re hearing that the Microsoft cellphone bears the internal codename “Pink.” The rumors come from a Bulgarian blog of dubious reliability, so we’ll keep this juicy tidbit in the “Rumors” column. Word is, Microsoft will debut the Microsoft Pink at Mobile World Congress 2009 in Barcelona.
We’ll be keeping a close eye on these developments. Stay tuned.
