The fabulous wine bottle lights the picture shows was sheer handmade works of Jerry Kott.He named them as Krysalis Light Sculpture.
Although the wine bottle present beautiful stripes on its outfits, they are not come from the bottle itself. Actually,every bottle was cut off and then put together by Jerry Kott.
These light sculpture was source from Jerry Kott's previous work, which was collecting empty bottles, cut them off, burnish the cutting edges well,sand the bottles in and out into various patterns, and finally assemble the parts together according to the colours and shapes of the wine bottles.
Similar to Jerry's previous work, Krysalis light sculpture was made in the same process except that
Jerry need to put an incandescent tube(40w,11.5inch long, diameter:7/8inch) into the bottle before he could assemble the parts together. As it's seen, the finished products present soft and subtle light effects.
The price of Krysalis light sculpture ranges from 140.00 USD to 450.00 USD. If taking this as a factor, I think that it's possible to DIY if anyone wish to have one as a Valentine, B-Day or anniversary gift for his girlfriend.
