I love the title of this post at Life Hackery: 10 Ways to Teach Yourself to Be Organized. It reminds me of the saying, “Give a man a fish, and he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish, and he eats for a lifetime.” This is not a list of how to organize or get rid of clutter. It’s a list of activities with the goal of building habits, that ultimately will lead to being an organized homemaker.
To the point, these activities are:
1. Take care of things right now.
2. Set aside time for the must-do tasks that can’t be done immediately.
3. Decide which things are unnecessary, and get rid of them.
4. Do it in small doses.
5. Know which documents to keep and which you can get rid of.
6. Set a deadline for clutter removal.
7. Make a menu for the week and stick to it.
8. Keep the important information handy.
9. Have a place for everything.
10. Cut yourself some slack.
Read the post over at Life Hackery to learn more about building these habits into your life, towards a more organized home.
