“Too beige!” This expression is a favorite of my boyfriend. He uses it when something is bland and boring, and really, I have yet to find a better comment for such things. The Calvin Klein Resort collection for 2009 was certainly beige, but it was hardly bland or boring. Comprised of practically only the one color (with some black thrown in for good measure), former Project Runway judge and Calvin Klein head designer, Francisco Costa turned heads with super structured separates that can be worn to work and beyond. If this is a preview of the ultra trendy ladylike look being carried over into spring 2009, you can be sure that if you buy lightweight architectural pieces for this fall, you’ll be using them for a solid year or so.
