thanks torley! i'm so glad you lurve toast too. i think bread is something quite universal that everyone can relate to. there's no greater joy than sharing a meal with friends and family. having a panda toast in one's mouth is just one fun way of expressing that. and yeah, we at the cult of toast just enjoy being silly together.

Emphasis mine. Silly and profound — food in Second Life isn’t required because our avatars don’t need to eat. But food and other familiar things (like doors and sunsets) evoke feelings from First Life, and those feelings are connected to experiences.

And when we blend that realism with the materially impossible or improbable, our emotions come forth and we react…

Especially when friends and family may be hundreds, even thousands of miles apart from each other, if we can share fun inworld, that goes beyond words. But if I were to call it something, “overwhelming beauty” is true.
