Realmatch.com - Meet Your Job Match

Translate Into:

What it does

When we embark on a job search, it often feels like we are scrounging around in the dark, hoping that if we send out our resumes to enough places, something will stick. Realmatch takes the guesswork out of the job hunt. Job seekers list all their relevant experience, skills (and proficiency level in these skills), in addition to desirable geographic locations and industries. Realmatch then displays job openings that overlap with these skills. For employers, Realmatch ranks potential employees by how well they overlap with skill criteria for the job. The service is free to job seekers, and employers only pay to see the information of the most qualified candidates.

In their own words

“Experience a whole new way to find your next job, more efficiently and anonymously.”

Why it might be a killer

Realmatch does a great job of taking all of your criteria into consideration- industry, management level, geographic location- and only displaying relevant results. They include in their questionnaire a detailed collection of queries, so that they can match you up with the most tailored job for your skills. These detailed questions on both ends mean that neither job seekers nor employers have to waste their time with positions or candidates that don’t match their skills or qualifications.

Some questions

Isn’t there a fundamental problem in reducing employees to generic skill sets? Users can upload resumes, but it would be great to have the option to display a more unique profile, especially if employers are paying to see the information about the most statistically qualified individuals.
