Veronica Mars creator Rob Thomas has gotten the greenlight from ABC to bring his 90s show Cupid back to TV. The 1998 show starred Jeremy Piven as a mental patient who believed himself to be sent to Earth by Zeus to unite 100 couples. It had critical praise and cult following, but didn’t pull in enough viewers. What will be different this time? Well, the show’s setting is changing from Chicago to Los Angeles and the Hollywood Reporter said there will likely be some other updates. A decade-old canceled show by Thomas earning a second chance? Yeah, SFUniverse is going to be all over this. I suspect you’ll hear a little something about it at Cynthia’s New To TV too. Tags: Cupid, Rob Thomas, Veronica MarsShare This
