To Love Means------

I have read an article A Lady’s Philosophy of Love by Zhang Xiaofeng( a famous essayist in Taiwan) and been much touched by the feelings between the lines.

To love means to leave an apple in your refrigerator and wait for His return.

To love means to keep pouring new-boiled water into His cup on a chilling night.

To love means the sudden loss of your words when you have smoothly dialed Him until then you come to know that you just want to listen to the familiar voice.

To love means to find, behind His honor, rank, education, career, deeds or misdeeds, that He is no more than a kid, bad or good, so that you dote more on Him.

To love one, you can’t avoid hoping to become more sightly, to be missed often, and to have your prime beauty engraved in His memory forever like the shining of sunlight; To love one, you can’t avoid hoping that when you have walked into your winter time, still one man could project a splendid image from your withering face by His pupil of a deep segment of history.

To love means the tendency to cherish the now and recall the past with Him, and to take heed of His words about how He ever loved you secretly and fixed His gaze on you from far away. To love means the yearning for the future and the meditation on the time when both of you come to the end of life.

To love means a short leave with His lips stamp just like that left by an appreciator on a picture.

……

Ye, authentic love is so selfless and tolerant as the above.

But sadly, it seems that love has become the tool for exchange in our real life. Few of us will ponder on what ourselves have done for our lovers, but more are always thinking of what He has done for us or what He can offer us. This is no true love within my vision. To love means to tolerate what He has done all, without caring for what He has rendered you; to love means to put it into silent practice, without any regret. This philosophy of love may perhaps be reduced silly in others eyes, but I am willing to be devoted to that just like one of Wubai’s songs going ---

I hold you dear,

only for my pure--- love;

       hereby,

all worlds ---making room,

all flowers ---blooming beauty,

all scenes ---touching heart;

all------

all are for you,

my--- dear.
