When I got word of this opportunity I just had to pass it along to all of you, my friends (hi mom! that about takes care of all my readers). This Friday, July 18th two critically acclaimed shows return to USA Networks: Monk and Psych.
If you haven’t watched either of these, you must not have cable - hey how did you get the internet? 
Monk follows the amazingly talented investigator with a delicate mental state and a whole host of obsessive compulsive disorders Adrian Monk as he takes on a variety of jobs or just helps out the local PD. Joining the cast this year will be Monk’s new psychiatrist, played by the talented Hector Elizondo. Actor Stanley Kamel sadly passed recently, having played the role of Monk’s psychiatrist for several seasons.
The second show premiering is among my very short list of favorite television - Psych. This always fun show follows Shawn Spencer, a fake psychic with alarmingly keen observational powers and his close friend, Burton “Gus” Guster, his partner and pharmaceutical salesmen. Joining the cast this year is veteran actor Cybil Shephard as Shawn’s mother - his father is another recognizable face, Corbin Bernsen. This show never fails to entertain with star James Roday a constant source of sly comments and whimsical looks while working on some amusing cases. I definitely recommend this show and give it my seal of approval.

MONK, the critically acclaimed original series starring Emmy, Golden Globe and SAG award winner Tony Shalhoub premieres its seventh season on USA Network on Friday, July 18, 2008 at 9/8c. Emmy-winning and Golden Globe-nominated character actor Hector Elizondo will portray Dr. Neven Bell in the seventh season as Adrian Monk’s (Shalhoub) much-needed therapist.
