Spaceboy’s Trifecta - Shuttle Landing, Lunar Eclipse and Satellite Shootdown [Weary Parent: Parenting Tweens & Teens]

Translate Into:

lunar eclipse

I seriously thought my son was going to bust with excitement and information tonight. Afterall, today was pretty much a trifecta as far as he is concerned - three MAJOR space related events happened in one day - the space shuttle landed safely, the lunar eclipse was visible from our yard, and the Navy was successful (based on what we have heard so far) in shooting down the dud spy satellite.

He has been glued to NASA TV (yes, they have their own channel on satellite TV), the NASA website, CNN and the local news. He has been sharing all of this knowledge with his sister’s, friends and of course, me. I have heard his theories, descriptions, and commentary. Honestly, he learned so much more today from 3-9 pm at home in front of the TV and on the computer, than he has in a week at school. I am so lucky to have a child who just loves information.

Did you see the eclipse? What did you think of it?
