Newly-launched job-scoping site Glassdoor.com aims to become a central repository of salary reports, company gripes and reviews, and other data about companies with a share-and-share-alike approach. To get beyond the free glances at Google, Yahoo and other tech firms, you have to sign up and offer up your own (anonymous) salary and a thumbnail review of your firm. Once you do, you've got full access to all the similarly-shared data, which tallies at over 250 companies at launch. Glassdoor will obviously sink or swim based on how far it spreads, but for now, it's a good tool for blue-sky job prospecting and helpful comparisons for your next salary discussion.
