What it does

You Live See is a site where users from all over the world can engage in webcam conversations with other users. When you visit the site you will see a list of users and data on their status, availability, interaction, permission, views and topic. The list gives you all the information you need to see if you are interested in having a webcam conversation with this person and if they are available to speak with. When users are online you will know so because it will be written in green in the status section. The interaction section is particularly important there are two options, for anyone and for defined users. If a user has "for anyone" listed in the interaction section then anyone can engage in a conversation with them, but if they have "for defined users" then you must be a member in order to communicate with them. If you are interested in more information on a member you can click on their name and see their avatar and basic information such as location, gender, birthday and when they became a member at You Live See. Conversations are much more fun when you can see who you are speaking with so visit You Live See.

Why it might be a killer

You Live See has an attractive interface. The help section is very brief but gets the job done. It is great that users have the option of searching by topic, user or location. When you enter the site you can easily see each user’s availability, status and permission so you know who you can engage in webcam chat with.

Some questions

There are many different networks in which you can meet new friends and chat, You Live See doesn’t seem to offer anything that unique. A testimonial page may help promote the site and some Web 2.0 features could make the site more entertaining such as user groups.
