You know those little glow-in-the-dark handles that you can pull on if you want to escape from being locked in the trunk of a car? You would think they're reserved for Cadillacs, Buicks, and other mafia-friendly sedans, right? You'd be wrong as they even come on the Lotus Exige S. We know safety comes first, but is this really necessary? Can you really fit a person in the cargo space of the little trackday toy?

Well, if you're trying to fit an adult in the boot, no. Maybe if you chop the body up, but at that point you're probably not able to pull the rip cord. So clearly, the only people the emergency escape system is back there for, are small children. Yes, because we're sure child-snatchers drive Exiges. That bright orange is perfect if you're trying to be inconspicuous too.
