
Audi unveiled its new A1 Sportback concept that features hybrid technology. The update hybrid technology used combines a 1.4 TFSI petrol engine with a 20 kW (27 hp) electric motor.
In hybrid mode, the A1 Sportback Hybrid can go from 0 to 62mph in 7.9 seconds. The top seed will be 124mph while the fuel consumption and CO2 emissions will be 72.4mpg and 92 g/km respectively.
Grounded by large 18-inch wheels, the chassis design incorporates McPherson front suspension, four-link independent rear suspension and a new active, ESP-controlled front differential lock which distributes torque in-line with driving situation to deliver sure-footed handling along with improved stability and traction.
