What it does
How many chat accounts do you have? More than you can count on one hand? SamePlace makes them more manageable. The application brings together all of your chat accounts, from GMail to MSN to Twitter. SamePlace is viewed in a sidebar as well, so you can continue working from your browser uninterrupted- and with just a click of F12, the sidebar disappears. SamePlace supports OpenID, so don’t worry about having to memorize another password. Another cool feature is the ability to grab anything- a box of text, and image- and drag it in the chat box to share with anyone. Finally, you can play games, give presentations or browse maps over SamePlace.

Why it might be a killer
Outside of making your chats more manageable, SamePlace offers so many cool features that it blows competition out of the water. Most appealing is their web “cherrypicking” function (to share parts of whatever webpage), but interactive games and an easily hidden sidebar are exciting as well. In sum, it is the perfect application for time wasters at work.
