Interesting[
^], especially as a few of us here on The Code Project defend Microsoft practice by pointing out their massive profits. It is hard to argue against money. As the article states though Microsoft isn't a one hit wonder, it has Office. Google has nothing but Search that makes any serious money (GMail, YouTube/Google Video, Google Docs etc. are all charity still.)
