Cabbage chair: Let’s change our sitting arrangements

cabbage chair
Can you imagine what sort of uses are there of waste paper, especially that coming form pleated fabric industry. If racking your brain is proving useless, so just salute the imagination of Japanese designer Nendo, who has come out with something rocking as well as astonishing. Actually, what you are looking in the image here is nothing else but just a chair that has been dubbed as ‘Cabbage Chair’. Really, it’s looking like a ruffled cabbage! Isn’t it? Method used by Nendo is quite simple, still quite innovative. The paper is wrapped into a cylinder and cut vertically halfway down, and then its peels have been ruffled apart, giving it a unique and matchless look. Interestingly, the chair has no internal structure for keeping it erect, all that has been left on well-folded papers. Perhaps, it won’t be wrong to say that Cabbage Chair would, indeed, revolutionize the way we sit! Check out more images below-
