A research conducted by Canadian sleeping experts showed that our daily sleeping time should be controlled in 7 to 8 hours, which is most benefical to keep fit. Sleeping less than 6 hours or more than 8 hours may lead to obesity.
The research report was issued in Medical Journal of Sleep, published April.1st.
The reason why sleeping influences weight is that sleeping influences the secretion of people's hormone, especially the hormone which have connection with appetite and satiety.
Insomnia will also result in the decrease of the secretion of the hormone which can restrain the ingestion of food containing high fat and calorie.
GHRP is a hungry signal released by stomach. Researchers found that, compared with people with 8 hours' sleep, people with only 5 hours' sleep every night have 15% more GHRP.
Besides the increasing sense of hunger, lack of sleep also makes people feel tired in the daytime and cannot work smoothly.
Moreover, compared with people with moderate sleep, those who sleep less than 5 hours are more probable to die of cardiovascular diseases.

No matter weekdays or weekends, gets up and goes to bed on time every day. This is conducible to improve your sleeping quality.
Take a bath or do some reading before going to sleep. This will relax your body as well as your mind and help you have a good sleep.
Don't watch TV in bed. And you'd better not drink alcohol, caffeine, chocolate, or other irritant beverages.
Doing sports at night is not advised.
If having trouble to sleep, you'd better get up and read some books or do some other relaxing activities till you feel sleepy and then go to bed again.
