- Sound: Think of a Regina Spektor-ish sound without so much of that very unique Regina sound…face it, nobody can be Regina. But that’s okay, Charlotte has her own sound as well. She reminds me of Jonatha Brooke, Tracy Bonham, some of those lesser-known female vocalists that have come out in the past decade. They’ve got a little bit more edge to them, which is probably why they’re not as mainstream, but they’re being true to themselves. I’m sure you know what I mean. I definitely see her as more of a talent, and a force to be reckoned with, than someone like Sarah Bareilles or Colbie Caillat. In my opinion, she has the potential to have more staying power. The fact that she’ll be on the Vans Warped Tour is probably a good sign, hey?

- You May Remember Her From Such Songs As…: “Waves and the Both of Us” I’m pretty sure has gotten play somewhere before I heard it on CD, because it sounded vaguely familiar when Mary let me listen to it. Another one that you may know is “How I Could Just Kill A Man,” something else that sounded kinda like something I heard before, you know what I mean? I don’t know, I don’t listen to the radio a heckuva lot anymore, so these may be off the mark, but believe me, when you listen to them, you’ll swear you’ve heard them before, they were just born to be popular and catchy. You can find them both on her MySpace, so listen away.
