Today John Kerry made his most news worthy speech since the “don’t taze me bro” incident at the University of Florida. In Charleston, SC Kerry appeared beside Barack Obama to give him his Heinz seal of presidential approval.
This is a big slap in the face to John Edwards, who’s only chance at getting the democratic nomination rests with either Obama or Hillary Clinton getting struck by lightning in the next few weeks. If that happens, Edwards can probably delay his concession speech until perhaps end of February.
In other news, Bill Richardson did the smart thing and dropped out of the race. However, Richardson lacked the class to endorse someone other than himself. All the democratic candidates called him seeking an endorsement but Bill said that’s ok, I’m just going to talk on TV a bit more and then go home and eat some ice cream and doughnuts.
