Despite the off-putting title, Son of Rambow is a darling of a movie, big in heart and humanity. It’s the 1980s, and Will Proudfoot (Bill Milner) is forbidden to watch any movies anywhere. But after his new best friend, Lee Carter (Will Poulter), shows him a bootleg copy of First Blood, the two kids become obsessed with making their own film. When a French exchange student (Jules Sitruk) comes to town and muscles into the production, the two boys need to figure out how to finish their movie on their own terms. Directed by Garth Jennings, this movie is rated PG-13 for some violence and reckless behavior. Hits theaters May 2, 2008.
