It’s week 11 and there are only five models left. We begin with Shannon and Ronnie in the bottom two (remember this week only two people were up for elimination). I am really hoping that Shannon goes home. I’m tired of looking at her Wicked Witch of the West-look-alike face.
And sure enough, Shannon goes home! Ronnie is headed back to the house much to the dismay of Holly, I’m sure. At the house Holly says she thinks it will most likely Ronnie who comes back. Sheesh, can we get a translator for this chick? She’s so boring and her grandma voice kills me. Ronnie walks in and is welcomed with open arms by Ben and Perry. Holly is less than thrilled, and is now the only girl standing.
Tyson visits the gang the next day, and brings a very special guest: supermodel Naomi Campbell. Fierce! I love, love, lover her haircut! She gives the group a few tips on their portfolios, and the guys, especially Perry, are stunned with her presence. I know people hate Perry, and maybe I’m just a sucker for a jerkface guy, but his constant enthusiasm is adorable.
The next morning the gang hits the studio for their final photoshoot. Does this mean we’re getting a winner next week?! Working with photographer Matthew Rolston, whose work has appeared everywhere from Rollingstone to Vanity Fair. The theme of the shoot is natural elements, and the models will be in the nude. Rawr. Be looks fantastic in his image, and Rolston seems to be loving the bunch as a whole. Holly appears naked and bald, and the photography team is able to transpose a flame onto her head. After she shoots, Rolston has a mannequin head set on fire and shoes Holly how he will take her picture to a totally different place. Ronnie’s shoot is good, but it doesn’t blow me away how the other three have. Perry’s shoot is amazing, and he talks to the photographer about removing his “A” tattoo in the picture, a reminder of his cheating girlfriend, Amanda.
There’s an exhibit of the photographs at a gallery, and everyone can’t seem to grasp how real this is. Ben’s pictures are amazing, and since his element was wind (the most boring of the bunch, imho), that really says a lot.
Before catwalk, Nikki introduces the group to Christian. Did anyone else notice Holly called him, “Christian Project Runway?” I know he won, but that’s not his last name, Holly!
Bonus: Holly gets to wear his frothy dress! Yum!
Christian gives them great criticism, and really helps everyone out. Best of all he teaches them to relax on the runway, but still across as strong. Ben walks first, and it was a little drab. I guess we haven’t seen Perry all that naked, but for some reason I thought his body was a lot bigger. During the second go, everyone has a little more fun and Holly looks gorgeous in Christian’s sculptural dress. The third walk the men are in suits and look good, but Ronnie lacks confidence and that edge we’re always looking for in him. Holly looks good, but she also was sort of stiff.
The judges say Ben needs to work on his movement. The judges are finally voicing their opinion on Holly’s bland personality. Perry’s walk is criticized for his constant head bob move, which I really think he doesn’t notice when he’s doing it. I see Perry as being a strong contender for the prize. His interview skills are on point, his pictures are always amazing, and his walk owns the runway. Head bob and all, it’s unique and it’s his.
In deliberation, they suggest that Perry’s arrogance isn’t that, it’s confidence. Did we all hear Jennifer talking about Perry’s shoulders?! Ha! I guess that’s why she’s the casting agent and I’m not. She points out that Perry’s shoulders aren’t right in proportion to the rest of his body. Nikki brings everyone out and points out their flaws and strengths. No one is in the bottom anything, because we’re down the only four models so it’s anyone’s game.
Next week is the reunion, and after that we’ll have our model! Can’t wait!
