Talk about art imitating life! Designer John-Paul Melia apparently took the metaphor of looking inside one’s self way too literally which resulted in this incredulous looking coffee table. Though the award winning Pants table is supposedly an international bestseller, and comes complete with a luxury high-gloss polished lacquer finish, a choice of real wood veneers, laminate finish or even wood effects, and storage for displaying little tid-bits or even housing magazine and glossy coffee table books, we still are not very convinced we would find this one occupying the visitor’s section in a hotel lobby, office reception or even in a living room. Although I’m sure Hugh Hefner might think it a quaint find for the Playboy Mansion!
