Just like Joey Fatone of N’Sync, Cesar Montano can sing.
Yes, Cesar actually has a solo album under Star Records entitled “Subok Lang”.
And like Joey Fatone, Cesar is now the Philippines host of the reality karaoke competition “The Singing Bee“, which ABS-CBN franchised from Zeal Entertainment.
It’s almost an exact replica of the NBC show: contestants don’t have to know the tune as much as they must know the lyrics. Contestants go through several rounds, until one is declared the Singing Bee Champion. The winner gets to play a jackpot round that can get him a P1 million if he gets 5 our of 7 songs correctly. I watched the several times at NBC and had a difficult time figuring out the songs and lyrics. However, if the Philippine version would be all-OPM, then Pinoys would have no problem winning this. Especially if you love to sing the karaoke!
Now in the American version, Joey Fatone belts a few songs every now and then. Will we see Cesar Montano doing the same?
“The Singing Bee” at ABS-CBN premieres next Monday April 21.
