Yesterday, I went to the home of one of my friends, and made dumplings. The couple just came back after celebrating the Spring Festival in Taiwan. There are lots of books in his home. He brought back quite a few ones this time, among which there are two volumes of the book named A Collection of Ancient Poems. The poems written before Tang dynasty are collected in this book. When I open the book casually, I'm amazed and marvelled at the beautiful, elegant verses and incredibly profound circumstance.
Thr first poem in this book is called Ploughing the Soil.
Work with the sunrise, come back for rest with the sunset.
Dig a well for water, farm the field for food
What does the power of the emperor have to do with me!
What does God of the heaven have to do with me?
The Heaven and Earth gave birth to me and fed me, making me feel very free and unconstrained
As a farmer, I sing irrespective of how high mountains may be and how long rivers may last.
When I checked it out later, I found out that this book is also listed in the reference of Literature and Life written by Wu Mi. Even Jin Yong has borrowed some verses from this book in his novels.
I'm so lucky to obtain the book for the days in the future are still quite long.
