Menuism’s “GutCheck” Imports Twitter Feeds

Translate Into: Bilingual & Comments

Menuism, the online community for rating restaurants and sharing reviews, has recently incorporated Twitter feeds into their network, launching the Menuism “GutCheck.”

Now you can use Twitter to let your friends on Menuism know what you’re eating or already ate. Any Twitter update that starts with “eat,” “ate,” or “eating” will be pulled into your Menuism account. You can also send updates directly through Menuism, and view the updates of your friends. If you’re really ambitious about keeping up with what your friends eat, you can subscribe to anyone’s GutCheck RSS feed. Incorporating this type of Twitter functionality is especially useful for the foodies out there, as it makes it easy to send updates to both Twitter and Menuism, through your cell phone.

Menuism’s GutCheck is a good way to quickly share information about what your eating with the community, leaving out the longer process of doing a fully involved review on the site. GutCheck’s Twitter inclusion continuously adds content to the site and connects members in a way that appeals to a very broad user base. In other Twitter news, they’ve recently been added for support from FeedBlitz, and a plethora of Twitter API mashups have emerged in the past few weeks, including Twitterverse, 30Boxes integration, and Twitter Atlas.
