“Them” is out on DVD today, and it’s one of those movies that keeps getting re-incarnated every decade or so. Or maybe they just keep stealing the title because it sounds scary. In this version, the teacher of a French School in Bucharest, Clémentine (Olivia Bonamy), lives with her writer husband, Lucas (Michael Cohen). One night, Clémentine is awakened by weird noises outside the old house and Lucas sees their car being stolen. Then the lights are turned off, phone line is dead and suddenly they’re surrounded by weird people with lights, which sends them straight to the cellar (Don’t they know anything?! Never hide in the cellar!).
