I stole a car and drove it back to my hometown.

It all happened in a weird dream I had during the night. The car I stole was not a BMW or Audi, or any other expensive ones I ever fancied in reality. It’s a HYUNDAI sedan, probably the cheap Elantra. The car wasn’t locked and left unattended by the road. I got in, started it and drove off. I wasn’t aware I was stealing it and all I wanted to do was give it a test run. But for someone who already owns a cheap but reasonbably good GM hatchback, what could be the fun of test driving A HYUNDAI Elantra?

Then I was alread driving it around on the  streets of my hometown. I’d long forgotten I was test driving it and it never crossed my mind I’d compare it with my GM AVEO. Instead, this suddenly drove it home to me that I’d stolen a car and it’s such a felony that I was looking at a long jail term for it. So I was getting pretty worried now, desperate for a way out of this. At one time, I was calculating I could actually leave it in front of a police station for the cops to find, or I could just call up the owner from a pay phone to tell him to pick up the car somewhere

Then again, for no reason at all, I forgot all kinds of my  worries over getting caught and was looking for a place where I could buy some good fruit
