It saddens me a little that Focus Features is billing Hamlet 2 as being from “the co-writer of South Park and Team America: World Police” because it almost cheapens the intelligent nature of the film, but alas, whatever sells tickets. It is true though, writer Pam Brady has been with Trey Parker and Matt Stone for many years, conjuring up all kinds of shenanigans with South Park, but with Hamlet 2 she steps out on her own and teams with Nancy Drew director Andrew Fleming to deliver one of the year’s most ridiculously funny films. Honestly, you just have to see it for yourself in order to believe it.
