We've all heard it before right — automakers could give you 50 MPG cars, but then there would be sacrifices in safety, performance, and passenger space. Well according the article and a variety of sources, competition for the half century mark is about to heat up with the 2010 Chevy Volt, a line of Prius branded models, and a new hybrid competitor from Honda.
