Journal 4/6/08- Great comment led me to think things over [A Hearty Life]

Translate Into:

Well, it is very late on Sunday evening and the end of the weekend. I wanted to share a comment that a reader left on my last journal, and I love comments! The reader said that I need to be more specific when I state, “my blood sugars”. I need to specify whether this is pre-food or 2 hours post food.

This is a very good point, but I usually do refer to my post food blood sugars as just that- 2 hours post eating. When I say my bloodsugars or my BS I am referring to my fasting or before meal sugar checks. I usually just list my checks for the day in which they were done, like today was … 92, 99, 101.

So thank you for bringing that to my attention and I hope it makes it easier to understand my ranting and babbling about my food and exercise.

Now, this is the first day I did not exercise this week. I worked this evening after a very full day with the family and a very early radio interview for a local online news media site that I help write for, www.daggerpress.com.

I had scrambled eggs and a piece of bacon for breakfast and a 1/2 of a turkey sandwich on rye for lunch. Dinner consisted of yogurt and and apple. I also just ate a snack, yes at 11:30 PM, which I know is not good for you, of a peanut butter graham cracker.

So here is to a great week, I am shooting to lose 2 pounds in the next 10 days- realistic, yeah? My second goal is to drink more water!
