Patch 2.4.3 will add a new time management feature to the game. Using this feature will allow you to have an in-game alarm clock, stop watch, countdown timer and even see what your computer’s local time is (just in case you’re playing in another time zone, this feature can be very useful).
This feature could be really helpful in managing guild raids like alerting you ahead of time to prepare for a raid instead of going off farming and losing track of time. It could even be useful in alerting you when it’s time to stop playing in case you’ve alloted only a certain amount of time for playing. But like all features in WoW, players would definitely find other uses for them for their own pleasure. I’ve thought of fun things you could do with this new feature and I hope you like them.
1. When a party or raid member says he/she will be back in a minute, you could use the stop watch to time the absence and let that person know exactly how much time over 1 minute he/she was away.
2. You could use the stop watch to see exactly how long it takes to plummet to your death. (Perhaps, you can check if WoW’s acceleration due to gravity is also 9.8 meters per second per second)
3. Tell your guild during a raid, “Oh alarm just rang! Tea time! afk a few”
4. Do a weekly competition where your guild tries to kill faster than the last week
5. See how long it takes you to mount up and ride from Shadowmoon Valley to Netherstorm or vice versa.
6. Enter a battleground and see how many members of the opposing faction you can kill in 20 seconds
